Notice writing format (with a notice maker)
Type the details and the notice is laid out in the correct format, inside a box, with a word count — then print it or copy it into your answer sheet.
Try a sample:
NOTICE
Format of a notice
- Name of the school or organisation (in capitals, at the top)
- NOTICE
- Date (on the left)
- Heading — short, in capitals
- Body — about 50 words: what, when, where, who can take part, whom to contact
- Name and designation of the writer (at the bottom left)
Put the whole notice inside a box. Write in the passive or in simple sentences (“All students are informed that…”). Don't add a greeting or “Thank you”.
