Marks percentage calculator

Type your marks for each subject (change “Out of” if a paper is not out of 100). Your total and percentage appear at once. Nothing you type leaves your phone.

How percentage is worked out

Percentage = (total marks obtained ÷ total maximum marks) × 100. Example: 432 out of 500 → 432 ÷ 500 × 100 = 86.4%.

Many boards use the best five subjects for the final percentage — when you enter more than five, the calculator shows that too. Grade bands shown are the usual CBSE nine-point bands (A1 91–100, A2 81–90, B1 71–80, B2 61–70, C1 51–60, C2 41–50, D 33–40, E below 33); check your own board's rules.

Practise percentages: percentage game.
