Good to know
- The region joins the rest of India through a narrow strip of land in West Bengal, often called the Siliguri Corridor or “Chicken’s Neck”.
- North East India shares borders with five countries: China, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Nepal (the countries are not drawn on this map).
- Assam is the largest by population; Arunachal Pradesh is the largest by area.
