Good to know
- The islands of Lakshadweep (Arabian Sea) and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Bay of Bengal) are often counted in South India too; they are not drawn here — see their own maps.
- The southern tip of mainland India is Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.
