Congruent figures have exactly the same shape and size: one fits exactly on the other (≅).
| SSS | All three sides of one triangle equal the three sides of the other |

| SAS | Two sides and the angle between them are equal |
| ASA | Two angles and the side between them are equal |
| AAS | Two angles and a side not between them are equal |
| RHS | In right triangles, the hypotenuse and one side are equal |
Not rules: AAA (only similar), SSA. After proving congruence, the other matching parts are equal (CPCT).
