- Biotic (जैविक): plants, animals, microbes. Abiotic (अजैविक): sunlight, water, air, soil, temperature.
- Producers make food (green plants, algae); consumers eat others (herbivores, carnivores, omnivores); decomposers break down dead matter (fungi, bacteria).
- Energy flows from the Sun → producers → consumers; only about 10% passes to each next level.
